About Me

What’s up! I am Gavyn, a National Parks Board of Singapore (NParks) scholar currently studying Environmental Studies. I love wildlife, nature, and anything outdoorsy. My childhood dream is to manage my very own wildlife reserve.
More about me
I was born in Singapore, but spent the majority of my childhood in Connecticut, USA before migrating back to Singapore at the age of 12.
I exercise a lot. I often trail-run, cycle, or go to the gym. I sprint kayaked competitively for 6 years, even joining Singapore’s National Junior Kayaking team. I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee with my friends in my free time.
I also enjoy writing and taking videos, which is why I started this blog.
My Goals
Through this blog, I hope to raise awareness of conservation and environmental issues in the contexts of Singapore and the wider world.
I’d also like to discuss general topics related to wildlife, nature and sustainability
At the end of the day, beyond inspiring environmental activism, I hope to highlight the profound beauty of our natural world – to show readers a glimpse of the wonders of the outdoors through my eyes.
